The Next Rules of Work

In September 2022, Jobs Queensland partnered with the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport to deliver The Next Rules of Work event.

The presentations delivered throughout the event focused on the current, near future and far future of jobs, skills, workforce challenges and opportunities in Queensland and internationally.

Gary A. Bolles was the keynote speaker for this event – an internationally recognised expert on understanding and managing disruption, and a speaker on topics such as the future of work, education and learning, and how AI is transforming our world.

Jobs Queensland Board member, Tamilyn Brennan, also presented about the evolution of Queensland’s workforce, how it is situated in the wake of COVID-19, and the tools and resources available to assist individuals, businesses, industries and regions to meet current and prepare for future skills challenges.

The recently released Good people. Good jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022-2032 was also featured in a presentation from the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

The presentations were followed by an interactive discussion panel featuring Gary A. Bolles, Jobs Queensland and the Queensland AI Hub.
