Workforce planning microcredentials

UniSC, in partnership with Jobs Queensland, has designed 2 free workforce planning courses to help businesses and regional stakeholders fully understand their workforce and respond to challenges in their workforce environment.

Effective workforce planning is crucial for businesses seeking to overcome economic and labour market challenges.

Our partnership with UniSC is delivering help in the form of a free seven-week course aiding businesses to develop an agile, flexible workforce plan for their business.

The course is open to business owners and managers located in Queensland. This course is also suitable for People and Culture/Human Resources specialists and business administration professionals who support small to medium enterprises.

Participants can join online from anywhere within Queensland and in person in Cairns, Ipswich, Fraser Coast and Gold Coast through the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). The course is delivered through 7 x 90-minute weekly workshops with a self-paced option also available.

After completing both assessment items, participants are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion and a credit for one elective course in UniSC’s Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.

Thriving businesses use workforce planning to secure the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles, at the right time.

Regional level workforce planning is essential for local government and other regional stakeholders responsible for, or involved in, economic development and strengthening activities for businesses across their region of operations.

Through our partnership with Local Government Association of Queensland and the University of the Sunshine Coast, (UniSC) a micro-credential has been developed for Local Government (particularly beneficial for economic development staff), Regional Jobs Committee Members, Regional Organisations of Councils and other interested parties that focus on addressing workforce challenges at a regional level.

Participants can join online from anywhere within Queensland and in person on the Sunshine Coast delivered through 7 x 90-minute weekly workshops or for a 2-day intensive program being delivered in-person in Brisbane.

After completing both assessment items, participants are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion and a credit for one elective course in UniSC’s Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.
