This May is Queensland Small Business Month – a celebration of the vital contribution small businesses make to the state’s economy and to communities across Queensland.

During the month, there will be a range of opportunities for small business owners to network, connect and learn new skills that will help them succeed now and in the future.

This year, Jobs Queensland is hosting an introduction to workforce planning webinar to support small and medium-sized businesses through the workforce planning process.

Building capability in workforce planning helps small and medium-sized businesses to successfully build the skills to achieve their goals and plan for the future.

The webinar will provide an overview of the benefits of workforce planning for small and medium-sized enterprises. It will also give participants an introduction to Jobs Queensland’s Workforce Planning Connect toolkit, which aims to support businesses through the workforce planning process.

The webinar is ideal for small business owners or managers whose businesses are ready to: explore growth and expansion; have changes in staffing or skill requirements; or just want to get a head start on planning for the future.

There will be three webinar sessions at the following times:

  • Monday 17 May – 1.30pm to 2.30pm
  • Tuesday 18 May – 9.00am to 10.00am
  • Tuesday 18 May – 4.00pm to 5.00pm
  • Thursday 20 May – 11.30am to 12.30pm

Register to attend one of Jobs Queensland’s Workforce Planning Connect webinars in May.
