Jobs Queensland and Business Chamber Queensland (BCQ), formerly the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) signed a statement of intent in October 2020 to deliver joint research, mentoring and advocacy and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Since that time, Jobs Queensland and Business Chamber Queensland have expanded the partnership and their focus on the Queensland small business community by:

  • building workforce planning capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises
  • researching the digital skills required to respond to changing workplace environments
  • enhancing workforce participation and diversity for small and medium-sized enterprises

The activities currently underway are expected to be completed late 2023.

Building workforce planning capabilities

Through this project, Jobs Queensland and Business Chamber Queensland will promote the Workforce Planning Connect suite of free tools and resources to further build workforce planning capability within small and medium-sized enterprises across Queensland.

Developed in partnership with Business Chamber Queensland, Jobs Queensland’s Workforce Planning Connect resources are designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises to undertake workforce planning, regardless of their knowledge or experience.
